Five Ways to Get Involved on Campus

As the new school year will begin in a matter of time, it is important to take the time to get involved on campus. You might like to try a new hobby, meet new friends or just engage in UC school spirit. I have put together a list of five ways you can get involved on campus this year!

Join a student organization: Joining a student organization is a great way to meet new people and try new things. UC has organizations for lots of different interests. Click here to find something that interests you. You may also like to attend the student organization fair during orientation week.

Go to a sporting event: There is no better way to settle into college than cheering on the bearcats at a sporting event. Standing in the student section doing the ‘Down the Drive’ is an unforgettable experience! Click here to see UC’s Football News; as the Fall 2023 season approaches, game dates will be posted.

Attend performances and presentations: As a CCM student, I know that UC has a number of performances put on by students throughout the year. We all work very hard on the shows and appreciate the support of the campus community. Have a look at the performance schedule here to attend CCM performances.

Find an on-campus job: I have really enjoyed working an on-campus job. It has been a great way to meet new students and help out the campus community. International students are allowed to work 20 hours per week during the semester and 40 hours during breaks and holidays.

Join an intramural sports team or club: Playing on a sports team is a fun way to be part of a team and potentially try something new. UC has intramural sports teams for everything, from volleyball to indoor spike ball. Click here for more information about intramural sports.

I hope this gave you some ideas for how to get involved on the UC campus. UC is filled with lots of communities for all students. Find your community today!
