Fun Weekend Trips A Drive Away from Cincinnati

Something I have really enjoyed about living in the US is that you can easily travel between states and cities by car. My friends and I love to explore new places and have enjoyed a few fun weekend trips during our time living in Cincinnati. These have been a few of my favorite places I have visited.

Perfect North Slopes

Just 30 minutes away from campus, Perfect North Slopes is the perfect day trip for anyone who loves to ski and be on the slopes. The resort is located in Southeast Indiana and they offer skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing. There is an easy rental services included in the ski day ticket price and a restaurant to stop for lunch.

Lexington, Kentucky

Take a beautiful drive through Kentucky and find yourself in Lexington, Kentucky, about 1.5 hours away from Cincinnati. Lexington is a fun city full of great restaurants and shops. If you like basketball, you may want to stop past Rupp arena to watch the University of Kentucky team play.

Chicago, Illinois

There is so much to do in Chicago – visit the famous Bean, enjoy a deep dish pizza, go for a walk along the river, visit an art museum or do some shopping in the city. Jump in the car for 4 hours or get a bus ticket with some friends and you will find yourself in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Chicago city!

Nashville, Tennessee

This is a little bit of a longer drive away from campus, but definitely worth the trip. Nashville is full of fun live music venues and daytime activities for all. Make sure to visit the Grand Ole Opry and take a walk down Broadway Street. It should take you around 4 hours by car.

I hope you get a chance to take some fun weekend trips with friends!
