Going to college in the US can be expensive. Besides tuition, you will have to pay for housing, food, insurance, and other expenses of your own. That is why the University of Cincinnati offers two types of scholarships for international students.

Scholarships offered: UC Global Scholarship and International Outreach Scholarship

1. To be eligible to apply you will need to meet one of the following requirements:

• Finish high school outside the U.S. (this is what qualifies you as an international student)
• Apply to UC from a university outside of the U.S. (this is what qualifies you as a transfer student)
• Entering UC through Conditional Admission (after graduating from ELS, for example)

2. You will also need to take English and math tests and obtain one of the following scores:

• SAT Critical Reading + Math: 1130
• ACT: 23 Composite
• TOEFL: 79 Composite (minimum 15 each subsection) 
• IELTS: 6.5 Overall (minimum 5.5 each subsection)
• ELS: Graduate from session 112
• Duolingo
• Others, like A-levels and IB scores can be accepted as well, if you talk to an Admissions Counselor at UC about those grades

If you have only taken an English test, you will need to take the UC Math Placement Test to show your math ability for scholarship review. It is free and easy to sign up for this online test.

UC International Admissions awards an average of $8,000 per academic year which means you can have $32,000 over the 4 years studying at UC! If you are a first-year, you can renew your scholarships up to 8 semesters. If you are a transfer student, it depends on the duration of your program.
